A quick sketch of a 17th century girl
Based on this book, one of my favourite go-to novels.
I like to scan my final pencil sketches in case during the process of colouring it something goes wrong or I mess it up, then I can just print out the sketch and start over.
I did a quick watercolour wash but I wasn’t really happy with the colours of her dress.
Finally I outlined the girl with my trusty ball-point pen and shaded in the tones and details.
I did this in my Pool drawing, using an ink wash for the water, then going over it with a felt pen to give it texture.
Here it is step by step.
