Hellmouth: Pt 2

Inspired by the medieval idea of a ‘Hellmouth’, or the entrance to hell, imagined as a gaping mouth of a huge monster mostly in medieval Ango-Saxon art, I wanted to reimagine the apocalypse in a modern context.

Usually visions of hell in traditional European paintings concern themselves with the afterlife, and I wanted to make my hellscape reflect our present or near future.
